Girls Can Code - Part I

Join our summer Spark Coordinator Mary in the Space to learn about the history, design, and application of computer coding in the first part of an introductory coding sequence. We will play around with a variety of coding languages and brainstorm ideas for individualized projects to develop in the next session. Although this is a two part workshop, it is not necessary to register for both weeks! This workshop is a very basic introduction to coding, suitable for individuals who have never coded before. Come to whatever suits your skill level and enthusiasm! Participants are welcome to bring a personal computer if they prefer, but plenty of computers will be provided in the space. This workshop is developed specifically for girls between the ages of 8 - 18, and open to all. This is a free workshop, but please let us know you will be attending by clicking “register here"
